WRITING SERVICEs from the scribe
The Business Scribe also provides clients with professional writing that’s built on a strong, three-decade career in print and online journalism, corporate communications and marketing/public relations. This experience ensures key messages hit the mark in well-crafted content.
Print and Online Journalism
Get content that’s fresh, succinct, engaging and surprisingly insightful, thanks to a journalistic “nose for news” combined with intellectual curiosity and darn-good (and grammatically correct; yay!) writing skills.
Meeting business objectives, financial parameters and communication strategies is the complete task. I get it, because I did my own share of hiring writers when I was a communications director for a $1 billion corporation.
Marketing & Public Relations
I’ll clearly grasp your value proposition, and then creatively relay it to your diverse target audiences. My extensive experience in marketing and PR (even crisis communications) sharpened my knack for that.
For writing, the right experience matters
Let me show you the value of a freelance writer with a background in journalism, corporate communications, and PR and marketing. Whether you need a white paper or speech, or simply some teasers for online ads, I can deliver content that clearly explains complex topics or that pumps marketing messages with fresh air.
My interest in writing started at a young age and before I graduated from high school, I was working at my city’s local weekly newspaper, writing news and feature articles as well as advertising copy. I moved from that small weekly to the city’s daily newspaper, and then, after graduating from college with a journalism degree, on to USA TODAY, where I became one of The Nation’s Newspaper’s youngest full-time editors at age 23. I was editor of the pre-Internet (imagine that!) online issue called USA TODAY Update. I later wrote for Gannett’s internal magazine and edited for The Cincinnati Enquirer before launching a career in marketing, public relations and corporate communications.
